This treatment improves the wood in several important ways. Thermowood is more dimensionally stable than untreated timber, meaning it is less likely to swell, crack, shrink, or react dramatically to changing humidity levels. It also does not secrete sap or resin in high heat. The process also improves resistance to rot and fungi, enhances insulation performance, and extends the lifespan of the wood — all while remaining environmentally friendly, as it is produced without chemicals using timber sourced from well-managed, PEFC-certified forests.
Built for Heat Retention and Weather Protection
The RAVN M features 42 mm (1.65") thick solid wood walls, providing excellent structural stability and reliable heat retention for a consistent sauna session. The roof is designed for outdoor durability and is compatible with PVC / EPDM roofing for dependable weather protection. Roofing is available as an add-on, or customers may choose to apply their own preferred waterproofing solution.
Comfortable Interior with Multi-Level Benching
Despite its efficient footprint, the RAVN M offers an interior volume of approximately 4.9 m³ (173 ft³), creating a surprisingly spacious feel inside. The interior is designed with multi-level benching to help bathers enjoy different heat zones, while the 450 mm (17.7") upper bench provides a comfortable platform for full-body relaxation. A lower step makes access to the upper bench simple and practical.
The large glazed front and tempered glass door bring natural light into the sauna, helping the interior feel more open while maintaining a sleek, premium appearance. The door measures 192 × 69 cm (75.6" × 27.2"), adding to the sauna’s bright and inviting feel.
