NorMod System © - Modular Outdoor Sauna
The Normod Modular Sauna System is a modern outdoor sauna designed for customers who want more freedom, more personalization, and better long-term performance than traditional prefabricated sauna kits. Built from solid cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels, this sauna combines Scandinavian-inspired simplicity with a modular design approach that allows you to shape the final look around your space, your privacy preferences, and your architectural style.
Rather than locking you into a fixed front wall and door placement, the Normod system gives you the flexibility to configure the sauna around how you actually plan to use it. Whether you're creating a private backyard retreat, designing around a view, or coordinating with an existing deck or patio layout, this sauna offers an uncommon level of layout freedom in a compact, premium package.
A Modular Layout Designed Around Your Space
One of the defining features of the Normod Modular Sauna System is its highly adaptable front and side wall design. Customers can add up to four glass panels and configure them in 144 possible combinations, making it easy to create a sauna that feels open and panoramic or more enclosed and private.
This flexibility allows you to prioritize what matters most in your setting. If your sauna is placed near a lake, mountain view, or landscaped backyard, glass panels can be positioned to bring in more natural light and maximize the view. If privacy is the priority, more timber panels can be used to create a warm, sheltered atmosphere.
Flexible Door Placement for Better Installation Options
The door can be installed in any of the front three panels or in either of the two side panels, allowing you to plan around walkways, decks, privacy screens, or existing structures with ease.
Naturally Unfinished for Unlimited Exterior Design Freedom
Delivered naturally unfinished, this sauna can be left raw, stained, painted, oiled, or clad to match your home or landscape giving you complete control over the final look.
Solid CLT Construction for Durability and Performance
Built from 60 mm CLT panels, the Normod system delivers excellent insulation, structural integrity, and long-term durability — helping maintain stable sauna temperatures and a premium feel.
Insulation Performance: The Normod’s solid timber shell provides approximately R-2.8 to R-3.3 in the walls and floor, with the thicker 73 mm roof reaching roughly R-3.4 to R-4.0
